Club Championship & Age Awards 2018
November brought another couple of races in the Championship with the Stebbing 10 and the Chelmsford 10k, as well as some improved performances at 5k. These brought some dramatic changes at the top of both the Ladies’ and Men’s Championships.
The Ladies’ Championship leader board is now: first, Carinne Jay with 494 points, Sharon Wright slips to second with 491 points and Debbie Barry is now third with 474. In the Men’s Championship Colin Moody still leads with 500 points, Adrian Fell moves into second with 458 and John Bull is now third with 445.
There have also been changes in the Age categories. The Ladies’ leaders are: Senior – Vanessa Bull (132 points), V35 – Sharon Wright (200), V45 – Carinne Jay (197), V55 – Debbie Barry (200) and V65 – Brenda Clayton (60). In the Men’s the leaders are now: Senior – Martin Westley (186 points), V40 – Andy Terrell (113), V50 – Adrain Fell (195), V60 – Colin Moody (200), V70 – Jim Bates (120). Please take a moment to check the tables and let me know of any errors.
This makes for a close end to the Championships with only the cross country at Bishop’s Stortford to come in December, as well as any improvements at 5k, 15 miles, 20 miles, marathon or ultra distances.
At the request of the Committee, there will be no year end tables added to the website at the end of December. This is to keep the award winners in suspense until the Celebration Evening in March.
Club Championship & Age Awards 2019
The list of races that were on the website previously has been updated as the incorrect Bedford Half Marathon was included. The dates for other races will be revised as they are announced.
When you e-mail your results to the Club, it would be helpful to include a link to the full race results in the event of your finishing position and the number of finishers being omitted from your e-mail. This would save time if these need to be researched.
Just a reminder that if you register as a Club member on your parkrun profile, your times can be filtered automatically for the results each week and thus it is easier to update your Championship score and PB tables.
There is a list of local races, including Club Handicap, Club and Essex Championship dates on the web site. http://www.thehrc.org.uk/fixtures.html
