CROSS COUNTRY: Ware (Race 2 of 4) - 17th January
Harlow Running Club competed in the second 'Run-In' Cross Country League Race hosted by Ware Joggers and run over a 5 mile farmland course. After the recent snow had melted the running conditions were extremely heavy and muddy underfoot making for exhaustive running. Harlow, suffering from a poor turnout and missing some top performers, finished in last place in the mens , womens and overall leagues behind Saffron Striders, Bishop's Stortford and Ware Joggers. This was a disappointing result after finishing in second place overall in the first race. After two races Harlow are now in third place overall. First Harlow runner to finish was Alan Broughton in a creditable 8th place. He was followed home by the consistent John Evans in 11th place and Jamie Jephcott in 17th place. First Harlow woman was Katie Herrington in a superb 7th place, followed by Dionne Jones in 11th place.
