With the huge interest in running growing during the 1980s, Harlow Running Club was formed in 1989, and has developed and performed in all disciplines from 5,000m to marathons and ultra runs, with excellent results and many Essex medals gained.
The club was originally formed and based at the Harlow Sports Centre, but moved to Mark Hall Sports Centre in October 2006 which opened with a new track and facilities. The Club shares space with Harlow Athletic Club, with all amenities allocated to us.
Both clubs work together; members who wish to run track do so with the Harlow Athletic Club and members from the athletic club who wish to run cross country do so with HRC

Unfortunately we cannot cannot cater for anyone under the age of 16. Please contact Harlow Athletics Club who cater for young athletes.
Membership fees are due at the Club AGM in January and are stated within the membership application form.
What we organise
The Harlow 10: A 10-mile road race around
Cross Country: We organise a cross country race as part of a league we compete in with clubs such as Bishops Stortford, Ware and Saffron Walden. The club also participates in the Metropolitan League.
