HARLOW RUNNING CLUB CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2010

As a response to member feedback and a reduced level of participation in the 2009 Club Championship, the commitee has considered some possible changes to the format. Although these have not been completely finalised, we have decided to communicate to you some of the changes so that club members can plan the races that they wish to participate in 2010. This is particuarly important as many races are becoming chip times with no entry on the day and selling out well in advance.

The current situation is that you will now be able to choose your best score from 2 qualifying races for the 5M, 10K, 10M & half marathon distances. The 5K, 20 miles and marathon can be any you choose, subject to it being an officially measured race. A 15M of your choice has also been added to increase the number of potential races. As in previous years, only 1 race of each

The the list of qualifying races proposed for 2010 races are as follows:

  • 5M: Tilty Hilly 5 (2008 Route) or Ingatestone 5 (subject to change)
  • 10K: Hatfield Broad Oak or Felsted 10k (2008 Route)
  • 10M: Great Baddow or Stebbing 10
  • Half Marathon: Great Bentley Half Marathon (Route) or Stevenage Half Marathon
  • 5K, 15M, 20M, Marathon: Any
