Hi all. I'm looking for a good Half Marathon to run early-ish next year, but don't think I fancy Silverstone. Can anyone recommend one? I've had a look at Reading, is anyone running that? Would appreciate your expert advice! Georgina | |

Hi The most obvious choice and a very popular race is the Great bently half near Colchester this is on the 05/02/12. After that is the Roding vally half on the 26/02/12 this is a 2 lap race around the Chigwell area. It is not the best course as some of the road crossings can be a bit hit and miss, plus it is an undulating testing route. On the same day as the Silverstone half is the Cambridge half I have not ran this one but it could be a good alternative. Details on the fixture list. JJ

BEGINNERS: Harlow Running Club are currently taking bookings for their beginners sessions in 2012. Courses last 8 weeks, cost £16 and are held at Mark Hall Sports Centre on Tuesday nights at 6.30pm-7.30pm.
