Just dug out my Garmin output for this one.  It's just over 10.5K (6.6m) so a little longer than the others.

1-2K undulating

3K is a 60m climb!

4-4.5K undulating

4.5K-5K 60m downhill

5-6K undulating

6-7K another 60m climb & by that point you'll really feel that one....

7-9K 60m downhill

9-10.5K up & down all the way home

My splits (had my garmin set to miles:

6:50

7:12

6:18

6:35

7:32

6:27

4:00

So basically up & down throughout but the two big climbs to be aware of are at 3K & 6K.

I found it a tough race but it's very scenic & they did nice food after.  And I always struggle on anything not pancake-flat.  Expect to run it in about 10% more time than a regular 10K would take.

cheers

Ade

Do we know if runners were sent the wrong way?

Yes, the whole field went the wrong way at the marshall point about 5 minutes into the race.  As I got there three Orion runners stopped & said to the marshall "what are you doing, you're sending them the wrong way" to which she replied "I couldn't get here in time".

My Garmin showed 6.75miles at the end of the race suggesting the wrong course knocked about 400meters off of the total distance we should have run.

Well I think we should all do it again and do it properly....:)
