Just realised that the 16 week marathon schedule starts on the 27th December. Are we following the Runner's World FIRST marathon schedule? http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/general/the-first-three-day-a-week-marathon-schedule/2493.html Good luck everyone. Dan | |

My training started on Saturday in the snow! Have walked miles and getting quite a good work out on the legs. Cross country skis would be good for training in the snow.

Is anyone considering running either the Oakley 20 or Finchley 20? Any info on these would be appreciated.
Thanks

Linda,
Not done Finchley, but word is it is a 4 lap course.
I have run Oakley which is a well organised and scenic run in the Bedford Country side. The course is 2 loops (~12 mile then ~8 miles with the first and last 2 miles being the same on each loop. It is undulatng (a bit more than Halsted on the 1st loop), but a very good training run. Running on some hills will make anything even remotely flat seem very easy.
